Cold // Week 4 // Project 52

This week, the theme is “Cold.” On my visit to the Biltmore Estate, just before it started to snow and I ran for cover, I grabbed this photograph of a old gnarled Japanese Maple. The bare maze of branches seemed to be recoiling from the cold. (However, I’m very possibly projecting a little of my own feelings about the bitter cold I felt that day!)

This year, I have joined with 16 other wonderful photographers across the world from the Bloom Forum to make a circle of photographs with our blogs each week. In that circle, each photographer links to another’s unique interpretation of the weekly theme. After viewing my pictures, please be sure to visit the very talented Jessica Nelson next at The Gaggle Photography in Dayton MD to see her “Cold” photograph for this week.
