The term “prop” comes from the theatrical world and means any property or object that an actor uses to further a plot or story line. It’s also used in photography to help tell the story in the image. For instance, in this senior session, I photographed a senior who loves the outdoors, camping, biking, and generally climbing and hiking the mountains we have here in South Carolina. When I first met Addison, I found all this out and suggested to him that he bring his mountain bike to the session to help us tell his story. When I asked how he might carry his bike over rough terrain, he showed me and this picture was born!

This year, I have joined with 16 other photographers across the world from the Bloom Forum to make a circle of photographs with our blogs each week. In that circle, each photographer links to another’s unique interpretation of the weekly theme. I hope you will visit each of these talented photographers and view their work.
Please start by visiting Carrie Terrones from Las Vegas, NV to view her Prop picture for this week!
Cool shot! Awesome way for him to remember his senior year!
This is such a fabulous senior guy photo! Such an awesome setting and it looks like the image captures what he loves to do perfectly!
This is such a fun shot! It reminds me of something you would see in an outdoor sports magazine!
Love this image! He just looks so natural and that background is beautiful!
Wow that looks like quite a trail. I bet that’s crazy hard to ride, good for him. This is an awesome shot and I love the mountains in the back.
What a great shot! It looks like you had to hike a bit to get to this. I bet he appreciated your efforts!
