I have always loved whenever my mom and dad would tell me about their childhoods or show me pictures. Stories like those are what make us human and they are what I want to pass to my own children.
That’s why I take great joy in documenting the stories of seniors who are confidently facing their futures, of families showing their love, fun and closeness, or of a couple starting their lives together.
More than anything, I want to help you tell your story… and I want you to be able to pass those stories on.
My style is classic and clean. I love vibrant color and crisp black and whites. My sessions with you are done with an eye toward giving you those heirlooms for the wall and helping you find the perfect arrangements for your home. I’m a full service photographer and will strive to leave you with a canvas, album, or those tangible pieces that unlike digital files won’t disappear on your hard drive never to be enjoyed.
A bit about me…
I have a degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication from Marquette University. After graduation, I loaded all of my belongings into my little beige Toyota Corolla and headed west for L.A. Several years later after working in graphic design for entertainment television and commercials, our first son was born. I continued with graphic design for the web, and for print until the draw to photograph and document my world became too great. I’m happy to say I’ve found what I hope to be doing for the rest of my life. It’s the best job in the world.
My wonderful husband, Andy, and I now have two boys together. Although we have trekked across this beautiful country and lived many places, we’ve chosen to settle right in here in Upstate South Carolina. This state and the people here have captured our hearts.
Random notes: I love old stuff: movies, furniture, books, vinyl records, photographs, and even cars (especially the Mustangs…). I was born in Kansas and grew up watching “Wizard of OZ” every year on tv thinking the whole world was Western Kansas… and everyone knew about tornadoes. I believe Boston Terriers are the best dogs in the world. I love the city of Chicago, the Chicago Bears and Chicago style pizza, the Art Institute… oh and Chicago style blues. I’ve been to Paris and desperately want to visit again. My favorite musicians/bands are Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, the Clash and the Beatles among many many others…
