Trevor and Deanne – A Winter Engagement Session

Deanne is a planner and loves thinking about the details. Trevor is easy going and tells her not to worry. Deanne likes old-world, country music and afternoons at Coffee Underground. Trevor likes his music loud and having fun with his friends.

It truly just works and they fit perfectly together side-by-side. They met through a mutual friend, Lauren (Lauren, you knew what you were doing, girl!) at a Greenville Drive game. Deanne’s eyes sparkle when she talks about Trevor and he simply lights up when she’s near.

I’m so honored to be photographing you both for wedding in July in Charleston. Thank you for inviting me along on your winter evening in Greenville. You are both such generous and fun people!

Jewel

This week’s theme is jewel. This recent picture taken of this senior reminded me as just that. A jewel. I so enjoyed meeting this sweet, beautiful young lady!

Opposites

My two boys have very different personalities…one is a morning person, the other is not; one loves meat and the other potatoes; one is all energy and the other calm; and yet, they get along better than any two brothers I’ve ever seen. I marvel daily at God’s pairing of the two of them. He gave them both their best friend and really fit them together perfectly. If I haven’t mentioned it lately… I love my boys.

Cute boys! So great when siblings can be such close friends.

this is image is so perfect in so many ways…reminds me of my boys too :) ! love the leading lines and their expressions.

Thanks Scott! It is. A Westcott Apollo softbox and HSF. You can’t coax these expressions for sure. They just sort of happen. I think Nat wanted a rock n’ roll picture and Dylan just gave me his “whatever” face. I’m the opposite of my brother too. It’s funny how that happens!

Scott - December 10, 2012 - 9:03 am

Ha, love the looks on their faces. My brother and I are the same way, polar opposites.

I really like the lighting on this. If I were to guess I would say off camera lighting, yes?

Love this portrait of the boys with the dark clouds in the background! So funny how we had the same idea for “opposites!”
